Anaisa Care is committed to reducing its environmental impact and operating in a more sustainable way. While we are a small organisation, we recognise our responsibility to contribute to the UK’s wider goal of achieving Net Zero emissions.
Our Commitment
We are working towards reducing our carbon footprint across our operations and aim to achieve Net Zero emissions by 2050, in line with UK Government targets. As we grow, we will continue to review and strengthen our approach to sustainability.
Our Current Impact
As a provider of domiciliary care, our main sources of carbon emissions come from:
- Staff travel between clients’ homes
- Energy use within our office space
- Use of digital systems and equipment
- Procurement of goods and services
Actions We Are Taking
Travel and Transport
- Encouraging efficient route planning to reduce unnecessary travel
- Supporting staff to use public transport where possible
- Exploring options to support low-emission vehicles over time
Energy Use
- Operating from a serviced office, where building management supports energy efficiency measures
- Encouraging simple actions such as switching off equipment when not in use
- Moving towards more energy-efficient devices
Digital and Paper Reduction
- Using secure digital systems to record and store information, reducing reliance on paper
- Promoting paperless processes across the organisation
Procurement
- Working with suppliers who share a commitment to responsible and sustainable practices where possible
- Reducing waste by ordering only what is needed
Staff Awareness
- Encouraging staff to be mindful of their environmental impact in their day-to-day work
- Promoting small changes that collectively make a difference
Future Plans
As Anaisa Care develops, we aim to:
- Begin measuring our carbon emissions more formally
- Set realistic reduction targets
- Explore greener travel options for staff
- Continue improving our policies and practices in line with best practice
